On October 14th, 2026, Catapulta presented the Catapulta Archive at the FMJJ Art Centre in A Coruña, one of the foundations that is part of Catapulta’s founding member group.

The FMJJ Art Centre is a working platform that sees art as a tool for research, cultural production, and social engagement. It develops long-term projects that connect artistic creation with contemporary issues from a situated perspective.

We were joined by Agar Ledo and Violeta Janeiro, part of the group of curators who collaborate with Catapulta on the selection of artists for the Archive; artists Noa and Lara Castro and Carme Nogueiras, who are part of the Archive; Susana González, Director of the FMJJ Art Centre; and Mónica Carroquino, Director of Catapulta.

The Catapulta Archive is a digital platform that brings together and gives visibility to contemporary visual arts being produced in Spain. More than 350 artists are part of this resource, aimed at art professionals worldwide, who can explore their profiles and portfolios through a range of search criteria. The Archive is continuously updated, and each year new guest curators expand and enrich this mapping, whether from a territorial perspective or by focusing on different types of artistic practices.
