This collaboration stems from a studio visit with June Crespo as part of a research trip organized by Catapulta. During the visit, the artist shared her intention to embark on a new phase in her sculptural and material research, building on this installation. The work will be rethought and adapted specifically for Kunsthal Mechelen, occupying the ground-floor gallery and establishing a dialogue with the public space through its large window.

Founded in 2003, the Contour Biennale is an internationally recognized biennial dedicated to moving image and time-based media. The 11th edition explores the concept of “the imaginal” as a space of potentiality where perception, experience, and desire converge, and addresses processes of personal and planetary transformation through film, sound, sculpture, installation, and performance.
